Welcome to the new (and hopefully improved) FanEdit.org.
OK, so it's actually been out a week, but I wanted to wait a few days for the official announcement, so that most of the inevitable bugs could be worked out.

The admin staff at FE has labored for several months to bring this new looking and functioning site to you, and we hope that you think it was worth the wait.

Check out the new True FanEdits and Star Wars FanEdits landing pages, the new News Articles tags and their sorting feature and our new focus on upcoming features.

We will also be unveiling various new features and a new FanEdit pages/ratings system in the near future. One of those features, sure to relieve some annoyance for members of FanEdit is a unified log-in system between the FanEdit movie listings and the main site and forums, where only one username and password will be required to log in to either or both. That's just the tip of the iceberg for the new and exciting features we are working to bring to you, so keep an eye out for them and let us know what you think.

I would like to humbly thank all those who helped to bring about the new site.

Starting with those who donated their own money, we have L8wrtr, Boon23, thunderclap, nomarch, TMBTM, Mollo, white43, havok1977, Remixed by Jorge, spelledaren, T-HOPE, TV's Frink and Beatles1984. Thank you all so very much for stepping up and donating your hard earned cash to support the FanEdit community, and of course thanks to all those who have contributed to FE before.

Another huge thanks to the beta testers of the site, ThrowgnCpr, Aztek463, TV's Frink, DwightFry78 and RunsWthScissors. You guys caught a lot of the small details that were needed to make the site as user-friendly and informative as it could be.

I would also like to extend a huge thank you to my wonderful staff of admins. L8wrtr, Thunderclap, Blueyoda, TMBTM, Elbarto, Joebshmoe and our new moderator Throwgncpr (who of course we all know as a huge part of FE before the new staff arrived). You guys put such amazing effort and love into the site, and we are all greatly indebted to you.

And last, but not least I would like to thank the man without whom none of this would be possible, Boon23. Your guidance and wisdom of the site and all its many facets was invaluable to us, and we always thought of honoring your work as the creator of FE when we were working on the new site. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for the fanediting community. We look forward to seeing where you take your skills as a faneditor.

So, now with all the mushy stuff out of the way, let's move forward with the new site, and continuing to bring the best of the fanediting world to the masses. We are more than open to any suggestions, and look forward to hearing your feedback about Fanedit.org. Long live FE!

    Enjoy!
