Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut Redux by Booshman (http://fanedit.org/wp/12180/)
Spider-Man 3: Redemption by BadScooter (http://fanedit.org/wp/11286/)
Here are the rules:
Contest is open from first of the month until 8pm GMT on the 20th. If you don't know your local time, visit this webpage WORLD CLOCK (http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/).
All entries must remain PRIVATE until the 20th. NO posting of covers anywhere.
E-mail all covers to: neglify [at] gmail [dot] com
Include "(month) cover art contest entry" in the subject title.
Multiple entries are allowed (and encouraged :)).
There will be 2 to 3 fanedits chosen each month for use in the cover contest. The edits to be used will be announced on the first of the month.
Contestants may choose either cover or create covers for both (or all of them).
All covers, regardless of fanedit, will be pooled together for voting. The voting will be done using a public poll. And only one vote per user (no duplicate accounts to pad the votes please).
Each cover is considered one entry.
Cover art and disc art are required for entry submission.
You must create your own cover. You can't take the existing cover (or an alternate cover online) and just tweak it. (Example of alternate cover online: http://tinyurl.com/7ejmbyw)
You may use whatever images or fonts or symbols you like (except as stated above). You may also create images yourself (will receive bonus points from voters methinks :D). No porn or vulgar language/images.
You may create previews using imandix or similar software, but all previews will be remade to create consistency across entries for voting ease.
Public voting (via poll) on entries will last from the 20th of the month through the last day of the month.
Promotion of entries (via posters, banners, etc) is highly encouraged during the time of open voting. NOT before.
Breaking this rule may prompt tarring and feathering.
The entry with the most votes at the end of the month wins the "Faneditors Cover-of-the-Month" award.
There will also be a booby prize for most ridiculous cover. See http://tinyurl.com/7a634hr for an example. Booby covers must specifically be labeled as such when you e-mail them to me.
New month, new contest. And new booby contest. :becky:
