Anyone know how to degrade audio quality?

Let's say I wanted to degrade the quality of my audio file (think: Grindhouse). How would I go about doing that (adding pops, cuts, etc)?

I used this to mix up a copy of MK Blood Cut, Grind house audio for alternate track, that plus a some reverb & i came out sounding pretty low quality while still being CD ? kinda weird, makinga Pristine Movie to an OLd school analog looking one
