Heroes: The Graphic Novels
Might be a bit too vast of an undertaking. My idea is to voice and score (plus sound effects) the online graphic novels and create a kind of slide-show to make the closest approximation of an animation out of it as possible. The main problem here is procuring a cast. I think it would be possible, though if you recruit Heroes fans worldwide.
I guess we couldn't use copyrighted music, but there is a website, freeplaymusic.com that could facilitate the score portion of the project, and it would be completely legit. The actual Heroes soundtrack might be OK to use, as well as this would be a not-for-profit project (it would fall under the same category as SW fanfilms, really).
If this is a FanFilm, beckmen, I would ask that you post this in the topic for FanFilms.
great idea!!!!.... will never happen!!!!
"You see things; and you say, 'Why?' But I dream things that never were; and I say, 'Why not?'" - George Bernard Shaw.
Well damn, killbillme, you really are full of nice things to say!
I guess it's KIND OF a fanfilm, but since it uses canonical media it's kind of in the gray area, so I just posted it here. Well, whatever, can you move the thread?
Why will it never happen...?
Since the comics are obviously copyrighted, the use of copyrighted music shouldn't make any difference.
That said, if you could pull this off I'd like to see it.
When Nickelodeon launched they had a show that did something like that...
Doctor M has left the building.
I know they had that show Kablaam! (spell?), but I think that was a long while after it launched... unless there's an older show that slips my mind...
I like the sound of this, good luck!
this is a cool idea, i hope it actually happens
Nobody wants to take it on? I'd help out, but I don't feel up to actually directing the project...
hummm nice idea!
I woldn't mind seeing the online flash version of the comics being scored and turned into a fanfilm.
I'm not sure about voice over though..
I would wait for the season 1 ost release to make it though ..
