    Question from total noob

I am interested in creating my own edits of the Star Wars movies. I own them all on DVD of course as well as several fan edits. My question is this, what software do I use to rip the video from the DVDs into and editable format? And what software do I use to edit the files together in the way I want? Thanks for your help

Welcome to the world of fanedits!

Though, I must say: how many possible times can one film be edited :P

good question Aztek. But you know, you'd be surprise.
Everyone hates the ewoks but it took until a couple of weeks ago for Spence to do a version with no ewoks.

I myself have been considering tackling the big "S".

    So stay tune.

well... as long as peopel are watchign SW fanedits, there will be those who think they can add their own vision to this. Maybe one time there will be THE perfect SW fanedit and none comes after...
...but I have stopped watching most of them. I want to see that new Spence edit and I am interested in the much shorter and darker takes on the prequels, because I haven't yet watched a fanedit of the prequels that I really like. So... well... there seems to be still room for more.
And some more spoof edits migtht also be a good idea.
