    Captain Planet

ok, so I have never, ever seen the cartoon, so I really have no idea how accurate this is, but it looked cool and the online response from fans seems very positive....

I kind of loved the show when I was a kid, but thinking back it might have been terrible. As for the fan film, that's probably better than what a real Captain Planet movie would be, if it were made (though, if it was, CP wouldn't look nearly as ridiculous as he does here, and (hopefully) they would get rid of the always dumb "heart" element).

Fire shoots fireballs, water creates an ocean storm, heart can...help people who have sprained their ankle? Great power there.

I loved this show as a kid too, but fear this one may not fare well if revisited. This fan-film looked extremely fan-filmy to me, but good fun all the same Good old captain planet.

I've dug up some old Captain Planet eps online...some are bad, some are very good, it varies from time to time. Overall it's still a fun show.

The guys playing Wheeler and Plunder stole this trailer for me, great performances.

The problem isn't that Heart is a terrible power, just that it was rarely used to it's full potential. Heart allowed the user to read minds, locate any living lifeform, sedate people, influence people's decisions (from making people give you money to becoming an unstoppable dictator), and gives you command over all wildlife.

Some elements looked cool, like Wheeler shooting fireballs, but overall, it looks too cheap, even for a fan film. CP looks too dodgy, and isn't Mai Ti supposed to be a woman? That trailer for MMPR looks better than this one. But, I'll reserve full judgment until I see it.

Ma-Ti was always male in the cartoon. He just had the rotten luck of having an affeminate power.

That didn't look too bad. It looked more like a low-budget b-movie than a fan film though. And wasn't Captain Planet's hair way greener, like completely green? This guy's hair looks like it was just sprinkled with a little green.

BTW, anyone remember the NES game?
