thecuddlyninja has released a new fanedit: 'Independence Day: No Family Edition'.

An all-action, family-free cut of 'Independence Day'. Will Smith has no wife and son. The president has no wife. Some silly moments with Goldblum and his ex are cut. Randy Quaid has no family. The movie has no Randy Quaid.

    thecuddlyninja:
"I love the late 90s cheese and action in Independence Day but the movie should definitely not be two and a half hours. A lot of scenes with Vivica Fox and the First Lady drag in the middle of good action set pieces. The movie grinds to a halt every time Randy Quaid says a "joke." I wanted to focus on the characters core to the story and remove the bloat."

    TM2YC has released a new fanedit: 'A Bit Of Fry & Laurie: Vols. 1 & 2'.

This double DVD set features 4-hours of only the very best sketches, culled from all four series of the early 90s comedy show 'A Bit Of Fry & Laurie'.

    TM2YC:
"I love this show and for a sketch-format the quality is generally very high. However, the whole boxset has 12.5 hours of material and there is only a few hours of it, that I want to watch, again and again. Also the official DVDs lack menus beyond basic episode selection. So I present two feature-length DVD compilations of the cream of Fry and Laurie's insane genius, with proper 'sketch selectable' menus."

maniac51 has released a new fanedit: 'Book of the Dead'.

This edit brings the original and remake of '(The) Evil Dead' together in to one movie. Some music and aspect-ratio changes have been made to make both feel more like the same movie.

    maniac51:
"I came up with the idea to put the original and remake together. The happening of the original took place in the year 1983 and the following story in 2013. In the remake you see the old car of Campbell, for me was that the idea to put the whole story in past and present."

JobWillins has released a new fanedit: 'Derelict'.

'Prometheus' wasn't exactly an Alien prequel, but this edit treats it as such by intercutting the events of Alien with Prometheus in a dual narrative structure.

    JobWillins:
"Derelict is in black & white to better marry the visual quality of the two originals (and also because both films look great in black & white). Roughly 30 minutes has been cut from Prometheus and about an hour of Alien has been used in its place. Some content from the deleted scenes of Prometheus were also used."

Andreas has released a new fanedit: 'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets: Revisited'.

'The Chamber of Secrets' has been remade into a completely new experience with; new music, new color grading, new visual and audio effects, tighter editing and thousands of other updates and changes.

This has turned the tone of Chamber of Secrets - just like Sorcerer's - into a narrative and cohesive story that fits much better within the rest of the franchise.

    Andreas:
"Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is respectively out of date and non-consistent with the rest of the series. When Alfonso Quaron took over the helmet in the Prisoner of Azkaban he gave the series what they so desperately needed: a gritty, realistic atmosphere in an elsewhere magical fantasyworld.

I took Alfonso's approach to CoS, and touched upon the movie with completely new sfx, music, effects, color grading and countless other updates."

maniac51 has released a new fanedit: 'The Horror'.

'Apocalypse Now' condensed down to under 2.5 hours.

    maniac51:
"This edit is faster and more to the point. The action and the madness of the vietnam war is on top. 'Apocalypse Now' was amazing, but a little too long, this edit has the whole story in 140 minutes."

Reaper18783x has released a new fanedit: 'The Crow Salvation Recut'.

A fanfix of The Crow sequel 'The Crow Salvation'.

    Reaper18783x:
"This was a movie that should have been really good. Instead it was good but a little rushed, with a little bit more time and money and a few changes to the script and this could have been a sequel to rival the original. It had a great up and coming cast, a who done it plot and good music and awesome makeup effects by KnD.

I wanted to remove how no one knew who heThe Crow was even though he died the night before. I wanted to remove some really bad edits, the scenes that made no sense and the bad dialog. I hope the movie is more enjoyable."
