Week of April 8, 2018 – New Fanedit Releases

This week we have two new edits for your viewing pleasure.

Tales From Hell: Vol. 5 by Mikedrew87 – A reworking of ‘The Dead Next Door’ (1988) with a scene from ‘Night of the Living Dead’ (1990), this cuts out most of the talking and background characters of Dead Next Door, and tries to concentrate on a faster pace action zombie movie. For ‘The Midnight Hour’ removes most of the humor and make it more suspenseful. The two films are re-titled “Graveyard Ghouls!” and “The Rotting Dead”.

Flash Gordon: Ming Strikes Back by Billy Batson – This is a feature-length cut of the 1940 public domain serial ‘Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe’, with Larry “Buster” Crabbe, Carol Hughes, Charles Middleton, Frank Shannon, and Anne Gwynne. Despite the dodgy science, improbable escapes, cheesy special effects, sometimes wooden acting, and juvenile story, ‘Flash Gordon: Ming Strikes Back’ provides a glimpse into how ‘Star Wars’ may have looked to an audience in 1940.
